My Studio
Hi I’m Rod Ross
Thank you for taking the time to come this far into my website, here is a little about me and my passion for music.
As a teenager in France I remember seeing one of the best guitarists I had ever seen in my life, at this point I fell in love with the guitar. I promised myself that one day I would play it just as well as he did.
I began by learning that every culture around the world has invented a form of interesting music, so I have used it to serve many purposes and guitar playing allows the free flowing expression of the heart and soul.
Now with my own studio I’m able to teach people from all walks of life, with the knowledge that I have learnt from the well known hit lyricist, singer and songwriter Karel Fialka, who I have also collaborated with in songwriting.
I’m a very patient teacher with love for both the acoustic and electric guitars, and an affection for music from all over the world. I share all of this with my students allowing them to become rounded and evolve into the type of guitarist that they want to become. All my students are motivated in growing and adding depth to their skill set.
My teaching style is tailored to the intermediate and advanced level student, in both English and Spanish. Classes are either in my Studio or more often online, this has been the preference in recent times due to the environment. Theory is not important to begin with but passion and motivation to better yourself is very important.
