What is the process of learning a song or solo?

First , we learn the basic outline of the music and we are thinking about it but can´t do it .

Next , we can play it but not really cleanly.

After that , we can play it cleanly but with effort thinking about it.

Then, we can play it cleanly without effort.

At this point you have done the practice and it develops naturally. A bit like getting used to new clothes. At this beautiful stage , there is a feeling of freedom and throwing away the first three stages so the music becomes part of you!!
