How should I make sure I have a good posture when I play?

Having a mirror in front of you will help you avoid having to look down all the time. A well adjusted guitar strap for me will not need much change from sitting down to standing up ,especially with the electric guitar. Both your shoulders should feel relaxed and balanced.
